Russian Language Centre 

Russian language (beginner through advanced)  

Other courses in English and in Russian 

Directed research in English and Russian  

Applicants who are fluent enough in Russian may enroll in regular Russian courses at this University. For further information, please email InterUniversity Centre Canada with your request

3 month terms (Jan-May, May-Aug, Sep-Dec) 

216 academic hours of language instruction (3 days/week) 

Cost: US$2075 (not including meals or transportation)

The Faculty: The oldest (founded in 1755) and one of the largest of Moscow State University. 20 departments, 3 of which specialize in the teaching of Russian to foreigners. More than 40 years of experience in teaching Russian as a foreign language. Library, linguaphone, video and computer facilities are provided. Size and composition of instructional groups

  • Kremlin Tour 
  • Red Square and Saint Basil's Cathedral
  • Lenin's Tomb 
  • Walking tour along Tverskaya Ulitsa, Moscow's main drag
  • Walking tour of the Old Arbat, a pedistrian walkway with souvenir vendors, artists and street performers 
  • Christ the Savior Cathedral 
  • A night at the theatre, ballet or a play 
  • Ismailovsky park 
  • Park Kultury (Gorgy Park) 
  • Tour of the markets and the university 

The group also usually takes a trip to a city in the Golden Ring, a group of towns surrounding Moscow which will give you an idea of Russian Provincial life, and to St. Petersburg. These trips are optional and depend on the wishes of the group. InterUniversity Centre Canada has a program and services in St. Petersburg which can help you during your trip there.
